Il sito è in un buono stato di conservazione , la struttura è visitabile anche al suo interno in base gli orari indicati .
E' accessibile ai disabili anche se sono presenti alcune barriere architettoniche.
DESCRIZIONE
La chiesa dell'Immacolata Concezione fu costruita tra il 1710 e il 1714, all'indomani dell'istituzione della Confra-ternita ad opera dei missionari del gesuita Francesco Pavone. La cappella originaria fu ampliata e poi divisa in tre navate in seguito al terremoto del 1733. Fra il 1740 e il 1747 fu realizzato, dal calitrano Mastro Baldassarre Abbate, il meravigliosoaltare barocco in legno di tiglio, poi indorato da artisti napoletani. L'altare ospita nelle due nicchie laterali le statuette di san Giuseppe e San Filippo Neri, e nella centrale, di maggiori dimensioni, la bellissima statua dell'Immacolata Concezione, realizzata negli anni precedenti il 1734 da un abilissimo artista napoletano. Allo stesso periodo risale la "Banca", il banco in noce dove siedono il Priore e i suoi assistenti durante le funzioni religiose. Di pregevole fattura una statua di San Vito, anch'essa di provenienza napoletana. La chiesa crollò in più punti con il terremoto del 1980, a seguito del quale fu completamente demolita e ricostruita, tranne la facciata che resta quella originale.Nella cripta della chiesa è stata allestita una mostra di oggetti sacri, dove fra gli scaffali di legno è possibile ammirare gli antichi candelabri in ottone e gli arredi d’altare, le antiche pianete e i camici finemente ricamati, delle statuine settecentesche di scuola napoletana e le preziose reliquie di santi. Si possono osservare foto e rappresentazioni di processioni del passato ed altri oggetti sacri provenienti principalmente da chiese locali.

DESCRIPTION
The Church of the Immaculate Conception was built between 1710 and 1714, following the establishment of confra-Ternita by missionaries of the Jesuit Francesco Pavone. The original chapel was enlarged and then divided into three naves in the earthquake of 1733. Between 1740 and 1747 it was made, by calitrano Mastro Baldassarre Abbate, the meravigliosoaltare baroque linden wood, then gilded by Neapolitan artists. The altar is home to the two lateral niches statues of St. Joseph and St. Philip Blacks, and in the central, larger, the beautiful statue of the Immaculate Conception, built in the years before 1734 by a skilled artist from Naples. In the same period the "Bank", the walnut desk where sit the Prior and his assistants during religious services. Superbly crafted a statue of St. Vitus, also of Neapolitan origin. The church collapsed in several places with the earthquake of 1980, after which it was completely demolished and rebuilt, except for the facade which remains the originale.Nella crypt of the church was an exhibition of sacred objects, where the shelves of wood You can admire the antique brass candelabra and altar furnishings, the ancient planets and finely embroidered gowns, figurines eighteenth-century Neapolitan School and precious relics of saints. You can see pictures and representations of the past processions and other sacred objects coming mainly from local churches.
