Il sito è in un buono stato di conservazione, la struttura è fruibile solo sotto prenotazione.
E' accessibile ai disabili anche se si trovano tre piccoli gradini all'ingresso, il museo si trova al piano terra della struttura.
DESCRIZIONE
Il Museo dell’ISA nasce grazie al lavoro di un gruppo di docenti che si sono prefissi lo scopo di lasciare testimonianza della memoria storica della scuola e di conservare tutti i manufatti prodotti dagli alunni e dagli insegnanti dal 1959 al 2004.
L’iniziativa parte nel marzo 2002 quando viene firmato il protocollo d’intesa fra Comune di Calitri, Provincia di Avellino, Soprintendenza per i BAPPSAE di Avellino e Salerno e Istituto Statale d’Arte. Nel protocollo si stabilisce il trasferimento della scuola in una nuova sede e l’allestimento del museo nei vecchi locali dell’Istituto, che sono restituiti al Comune.
Il museo, allestitola primo piano, è stato inaugurato il 27 maggio 2005 ed è aperto al pubblico il sabato e la domenica, con visite guidate dai docenti che illustrano le tecniche di realizzazione dei lavori di ceramica, legno, ricamo e merletto, a testimonianza delle tre sezioni dell’Istituto. In particolare si segnalano per la sezione di ceramica i pannelli in maiolica policroma, i vasi eseguiti al tornio e al lucignolo, i servizi di stoviglie e i pannelli modulari di svariati motivi decorativi.
Nella sala del legno si possono ammirare servizi di posate in legni diversi, intarsi e intagli, mobiletti e contenitori realizzati al tornio. Di particolare interesse sono, inoltre, un pannello ad intarsio con una veduta di Calitri del ‘600 edun mosaico ispirato ad un quadro di Mirò.
Per quanto riguarda l’arte del ricamo e del merletto, i lavori più originali sono i pannelli con l’applicazione di chiacchierino, pizzo e ricamo, i centrotavola in pizzo a tombolo e i preziosi servizi da tavola in pizzo a tombolo e ricamo.
Sicuramente le opere che meritano un’attenzione particolare sono quelle realizzate negli anni ’60 da alunni docenti provenienti da varie città d’arte italiane (Firenze, Urbino, Napoli, Lecce, ecc.) che hanno trasmesso agli allievi le loro conoscenze delle tecniche artistiche e soprattutto l’amore per l’arte.

DESCRIPTION
The Museum of the ISA was born thanks to the work of a group of teachers who have set themselves the goal to leave testimony of the historical memory of the school and to retain all the artifacts produced by the pupils and teachers from 1959 to 2004.
The initiative will be launched in March 2002 when it signed the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Calitri, Province of Avellino, the Superintendence for BAPPSAE of Avellino and Salerno and Art Institute. The protocol sets out the transfer of the school to a new site and the layout of the museum in the old premises of the Institute, which are returned to the City.
The museum, allestitola first floor, was inaugurated May 27, 2005 and is open to the public on Saturday and Sunday, with guided tours by teachers that illustrate the techniques of carrying out the work of ceramic, wood, embroidery and lace, to witness the three sections of the Institute. Of particular note is the section of ceramic panels in polychrome majolica, vessels made on a lathe and the wick, the services of crockery and modular panels of various decorative motifs.
In the room you can admire the wooden cutlery sets in different woods, inlays and carvings, cabinets and containers made on the lathe. Of particular interest they are also a panel inlaid with a view of Calitri '600 andan mosaic inspired by a painting by Miro.
As for the art of embroidery and lace, the most original works are the panels with the application of tatting, lace and embroidery, the centerpiece bobbin lace and precious tableware bobbin lace and embroidery.
Surely the works that deserve special attention are those made in the 60 teachers by pupils from various Italian cities (Florence, Urbino, Naples, Lecce, etc.) That sent the students on their knowledge of artistic techniques and above all the love of art.
